How I Got Email Subscribers and Turned Emails into $3k"

Here I will be sharing the secret on how I turned just sending emails into $3,000

Let's begin...

Have you ever wondered if those marketing emails flooding your inbox could actually make someone money?
Well, I'm here to spill the secret on how I turned a bunch of emails into a sweet $3,000. Buckle up for the story of how I started, experimented, and finally found out the secret of email marketing.

The Lightbulb Moment

It all started with a lightbulb moment:
You know people check their emails every day even you also check your emails everyday. A simple realization, but the potential was enormous. Armed with this, I started email marketing, hoping to get some cool cash from it also because I heard a lot of people makes money from email marketing.

SO LET'S BEGIN..

STEP ONE-Building My Email List:

First things first—I need potential customers who I needed to send emails right? I hustled to build my subscriber list. Well building an email list doesn't involves much work, all you have to do is know where to get your right audience.

I will be sharing how I got my first 2,000 email subscribers using this 2 sites:
STEPS:

Substack is a platform that enables writers to publish newsletters and build a subscription-based audience. It's popular among journalists, writers, and content creators.

Medium is a platform where people can publish and read articles on a wide range of topics. It's known for its diverse content and a mix of both free and subscription articles. Alot of writers use Medium to share their knowledge, stories, and expertise.
Medium allows writers to build their email subscriber base. Writers can choose to put  some or all of their content on paid plan requiring readers to become paying subscribers to access it. This can be a way for writers to monetize their content and build a direct relationship with their audience through email subscriptions.

STEP TWO-Writing out Content that Clicks:

With a growing subscribers, the challenge was keeping them interested. I improved my writing skills to craft out emails that weren’t just noise but something people actually wanted to read and have interest in. Newsletters, promotions, you name it—I made it engaging and, most importantly, worth their time.

STEP THREE- Getting Personal with Personalization:

Nobody likes generic or low quality contents, one-size-fits-all emails. So, I got personal. Dividing my audience based on what they liked and tailoring my messages accordingly was the name of the game. It was like sending personalized invitations to a party where everyone felt like a VIP.

STEP FOUR-Perfect Timing and the Art of Not Annoying People:

Timing matters, right? I played around with different send times, trying to hit that perfect time when people were actually willing or ready to read what I had to say. And oh, finding the right balance—keeping them interested without pitching their inbox like a relentless salesperson.

STEP FIVE-Making the Cash From Sending Marketing Emails:

Now, let's talk money. I started rolling in promotions and product pitches strategically. It wasn’t about sending them any kind promotion that is not relevant to them but offering things they genuinely might like. Affiliate marketing, exclusive deals—anything that made that cha-ching sound in my pocket.

STEP SIX-Love Thy Subscribers

It wasn’t just about the money. Building customer relationships mattered to me. Responding to their emails on time, addressing issues, and creating a community around my emails made all the difference. It was like having an ongoing conversation rather than just a one-sided pitch.

STEP SEVEN - Scaling the Email Mountain:

$3,000 wasn’t my finish line. I wanted more. So, I scaled up. I need more subscribers, collaborations with influencers, and getting into new territories. It was like turning a small garden into a expansive landscape—I wanted to see how far I could go.

Reflecting on the Journey

Reaching the $3,000 threshold mark was more than just a number. It was proof that with some creativity, strategy, consistency and a touch of luck, you could turn something as everyday as emails into a income stream. Going back, it was a journey of trial and error, learning, and most importantly, connecting with real people behind those email addresses.

So, there you have it—my journey from inbox to income. Turns out, those bothersome marketing emails might just be someone’s pass to a couple of grand. Who would’ve thought?
